Carol Peters is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio with BS in Education and French major, Russian minor.

She is a member of American Rosie the Riveter Association, Texas Retired Teachers Association, San Marcos Bluebonnet Lions Club, San Marcos Chamber of Commerce and Kyle Chamber of Commerce; also, Central Texas Association of Senior Caregivers, Caldwell County Family Violence Task Force, CASA of Central Texas and Austin Diocese Gabriel Project.

She has served on Texas Silver Haired Legislature as Vice Chair and Secretary, Utilities and Natural Resources committee.

Carol has been sole proprietor, Village Sensei Learning Center, since 1992. She has been CFO of family business, Southern Pecan Plantation Manufactured Housing Community in Caldwell County, since 1992. Carol Peters was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on February 12, 1946. She was the first child of parents who were married in June, 1941, separated by war for 4 years, and re-united in April, 1945 at a U.S. Naval hospital in Yosemite National Park.

Carol has been married to Robert Peters, a geologist, for 44 years. They have one son who is an orthodontist, one daughter, a real estate broker, one granddaughter and twin grandsons.
